Cougars split recent games

Escambia Academy split a pair of baseball games last weekend, as the Cougars fell to visiting Fort Dale Academy, 7-0, on Friday, but bounced back to win at Pensacola Christian, 6-3, on Saturday. Saturday’s win came in nine innings.

The Cougars (5-5-1, 2-1 in AISA Class AAA, Region 2) were scheduled to play at Monroe Academy on Tuesday, March 18. EA’s next home game is Thursday at Poarch against Northview. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.

The Cougars will also participate in games this weekend at Monroe Academy. They will play Russell Christian on Friday at 2 p.m., and then face Glenwood Academy later that night at 7 p.m.

EA will host Clarke Prep in a home doubleheader Tuesday, March 25. Game 1 is set for noon, and Game 2 will be at 2 p.m.
