Preston “Pete” (Tomahawk) McGhee, 58, of Perdido, passed away on Thursday July 3, 2014, in Pensacola, Fla.

He was employed by Booker Trucking as a truck driver, born on Dec. 17, 1955, in Escambia County, to the late Shirley L. and Willene Partin McGhee.

His brother, Bobby Lee McGhee, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Alicia Bray McGhee of Perdido; three daughters, Tonya M. Black of Nokomis, Fla., Dana G. Moss of Houston, Texas, and Mirnda (Ian) Smith of Repton; four step-children, Daniel K. Griffith, Shawn E. Brown, Robby E. Brown and Shaina M. Brown; one brother, John H. McGhee; three sisters, Betty McGhee Peacock, Angela McDevilbiss and Christine M. Parker; 10 grandchildren, Monica Neisler, Talmadge Moss, Todd Smith, Zackery Smith, Matthew Smith, Lauren Smith, Alexandria “Data” Brown, Asheley Nicole Ward Moser, Cody Allen Pridgen and Teagen Michea Black.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, from the Friendly Holiness Church, with the Rev. Ray Ward and the Rev. Dale Aplin officiating. Interment followed in New Home Cemetery.

The family received friends from 7 p.m. Tuesday July 8, at the Friendly Holiness Church until service time at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
