Elvis Darius ‘Deal’ Frye

Mr. Elvis Darius “Deal” Frye, 55, of Mobile, made his heavenly journey on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Azalea Garden Nursing Home in Mobile.

Mr. Frye was a native of Camden (Wilcox County) and longtime resident of Atmore. He was a 1978 graduate of Escambia County Training School and a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Atmore. He was an outstanding football player in high school.
He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Bell Sr.; and two brothers, Scott Bell Jr. and Leonard Frye.

Those left to cherish his life are one daughter, Katrina A. Jones of Atmore; his mother, Cassie Mae Frye Nichols of Atmore; his step-father, Willie Nichols of Atmore; one sister, Annie D. Frye of Birmingham; one brother, Roger Martin of Camden; one grandson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Elder T. L. Smith, pastor of Christ Temple EPC Church, eulogist, and Overseer Darryl North, host pastor. Inhumation will be in the Stallworth Cemetery.

Public walk-in viewing will be Friday, Oct. 3, from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, and his body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service, under the professional direction of Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC.
