Ms. Margaret Moseley Pressley-Jess, 84, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Atmore, fought a good fight and answered the Master’s Call on Nov. 3, 2014, at her residence,

Ms. Pressley-Jess was an only child born to Willie and Mary Lee Moseley in Atmore. She attended school at Escambia County Training School.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pensacola, where she served on the Usher’s Board and was president of the Interdenominational Ushers’ Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennie Jess; one son, Stanley Pressley and one daughter, Darlene Pressley-Booker.

Those left to embrace her life and legacy are nine children, Willie A. (Lora) Mosley of Atmore, Gary C. Moseley of Ocean Springs, Miss., Martis Pressley of Detroit, Mich., Anthony L. (Rita Jae) of Ellenwood, Ga., Karen A. (Johnny) Lemons of Conyers, Ga., Timothy Pressley of Oceanside, Calif., Cecelia Pressley of Houston, Texas, and Christopher W. Pressley and Derwin J. Pressley both of Pensacola; one stepdaughter, Gwendolyn M. Silas of Pensacola; aunt, Lodee McPherson of Pensacola; 26 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 8, at the Longmire-Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Payne, eulogist. Retirement of her remains was in Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
