The Escambia County High School Lady Devils broke out to a 13-0 lead after one inning Friday, on the way to a 16-1 victory over visiting Hillcrest-Evergreen.

The win improved ECHS’s record to 2-4-1 for the season. The Lady Devils lost to Jackson 11-1 on Thursday, but earned an 18-5 win at Monroe County on Monday, March 2.

“The team did great against Monroe County and Hillcrest,” ECHS coach Stephanie Adams said. “Our offense was not up to par against Jackson. We couldn’t produce good base hits like we needed to, and we made a few defensive errors.
