Billy Ray Tyree, 79, of Foley, formerly of McCullough, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015, in Foley.

He was a millwright with Swift Lumber Company, born in McCullough to the late Wilton and Martha Taylor Tyree on April 30, 1936.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Tyree.
Survivors are a daughter, Myra (Michael) Purvis of Foley; one brother, Barney Tyree of Repton; two sisters, Shirley Sexton of Lakeland, Fla., and Hazel Boss of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Bray and Amanda Copper.

Services will be held Friday, May 29, at 3:30 p.m., from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Interment will follow in Dean Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Max Bray Jr., James Bray, Jonathan Bray, Michael Purvis and Randy Burgett.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 29, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 2:30 p.m. until service time at 3:30 p.m.
