ECHS schedule released

Escambia County High School under the direction of first-year head coach Mark Heaton make a return to Class 4A this season taking on region competition that they have not seen in the last two seasons.

The Blue Devils open their season the same way they have the last two seasons taking on their rivals, the T.R. Miller Tigers at Herbert Barnes Stadium on Aug. 27.

The following week, the Blue Devils open region play  on Sept. 3 with a trip to B.C. Rain High School in Mobile followed up by another road trip on Sept. 10 at UMS-Wright Prep School.

On Sept. 17, the Blue Devils come back to Atmore taking on their region foe the W.S. Neal Blue Eagles.

A road trip against a former Class 5A region opponent comes the next week on Sept. 24 with Atmore heading to Mobile to take on Faith Academy.

Escambia County stays on the road to open the month of October going up against region opponent Thomasville in Thomasville on Oct. 1.

The next two contests take place at Herbert Barnes Stadium with the Blue Devils hosting region opponents Saraland on Oct. 8 and Jackson (Oct. 15).

Atmore ends their season with two final road trips going to Monroe County on Oct. 22 for a region game and the season finale against Baldwin County on Oct. 29.
