FRISCO CITY – Willie “Joe” Calhoun Sr., 68, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in South Montgomery.

Calhoun was a native of Frisco City.

Survivors include two sisters, Matte Mae Autrey of Foley and Montrae Thomas of New Jersey; five sons, Calvin Calhoun of Frisco City, Willie Calhoun Jr. of Atmore, Ira Calhoun of Montgomery, Willie Banks of Frisco City and Patrick Johnson of Muscle Shoals; two daughters, Mary Calhoun-Foster of Montgomery and Sandra Hunt of Pensacola, Fla. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church interment followed in McConnico Cemetery with the Rev. Matthews Davis officiating.

Funeral services were entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore.
