Atmore Christian Rams win in overtime

In a game that moved to overtime on Tuesday, the Atmore Christian School Rams were victorious 48-47 over East Hill Christian from Pensacola, Fla.

The Rams (5-3, 2-2) battled in a game that ACS head coach Tim Battles said was full of “runs.”

At halftime, the Rams led 21-10 and were ahead 40-23 with just more than three minutes left in the game, but East Hill fought back to tie the game and push to overtime.

In overtime, East Hill led 47-44 before the Rams’ Tyler Dehoff was fouled and hit one of his shots to make the score 47-45.

After forcing a five-second inbounds call, the Rams’ Casey Freeman hit a three-point shot to to put ACS ahead 48-47 and East Hill missed a final shot to end the game.

Logan Boatwright led ACS with 22 points, while Dehoff scored 11.Thomas Moore had nine and Casey Freeman had six.
