After falling behind 3-0, the Lady Blue Devils were still unable to get runs on the board despite Tristen Boothe reaching base on a walk.

W.S. Neal extended their lead to six runs in the top of the fourth as Lum scored her second run of the game and Paige Grantham and Lauren Boatwright both scored their first runs..

The Lady Eagles followed up in the fifth inning by putting four runs on the scoreboard with Heather Elliott, Lum, Ellison and Boatwright scoring to put W.S. Neal ahead 10-0.

The Lady Blue Devils responded in the bottom of the fifth with two runs of their own as Megan Rackard and Tieraa Dale crossed the plate to pull Escambia County within eight runs.

Any efforts of a comeback would be shortlived for ECHS as they went down one, two, three in both the sixth and seventh innings, while the Lady Eagles were able to add two more runs in the top of the seventh to come away with a 12-2 victory.

The Lady Blue Devils next game is Wednesday at home against the Flomaton Lady Hurricanes. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
