ACS Lady Rams beat West Florida

The Atmore Christian School Lady Rams picked up their first win of the season on Thursday, March 17 in a match up against West Florida Baptist.

The Lady Rams (1-2) had a huge first inning and held off a West Florida surge to pick up the 12-7 win in a game where every player scored.

The Lady Rams opened the game with an 11-run first inning and were leading West Florida 11-2 after the first inning.

Offensively, the Lady Rams were led by Taylor West who reached base five times scoring three runs. She also had five stolen bases in the win.

Kendra Beachy went a perfect 4-for-4 in the win with 3 RBI, while Narisa Wiggins went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Defensively, Beachy started for the Lady Rams and pitched seven innings and recorded four strikeouts.

The Lady Rams next game is March 28 at home against Alethia. The game begins at 5:30 p.m.

East Hill 8

Atmore Christian School’s Lady Rams suffered their second loss of the season on Tuesday, March 15 falling 8-7 to East Hill Christian in their first home game.

The Lady Rams (0-2) had a large lead early in the game, but allowed East Hill to come back and get the victory.

In the first two innings, the Lady Rams offense and defense played strong as they took a 7-1 lead over East Hill.

In the final five innings though, the Lady Rams were unable to score anymore runs, while East Hill was able to knock off the ACS lead with a couple runs in each inning eventually leading to their win.

Offensively, the Lady Rams were led by Taylor West who went 3-for-4 in the game and scored two runs. Narisa Wiggins walked three times, ripped a single and scored two runs.

Defensively, Kendra Beachy pitched seven innings recording five strikeouts.

ACS 9

Atmore Christian School’s Lady Rams opened their season on Friday, March 11 with a 15-9 loss to the Central Christian Lady Saints in Robertsdale.

The Lady Rams (0-1) played an up and down game defensively as they gave up five of the Lady Saints’ runs in the first inning and seven of them in the sixth inning leading to their win.

Taylor West was the offensive leader for the Lady Rams hitting 4-for-4 in the game, while scoring two runs.

Madelyn Boatwright went 3-for-3 with RBI and scored three runs and Kendra Beachy went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Beachy started on the mound for ACS striking out four batters in four innings of work. Narisa Wiggins came in to relief and struck out one batter in two innings.
