ESCAMBIA COUNTY – Mrs. Hazel Mason Griffith a native of Escambia County went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Scottsboro.

Her parents, R.A. and Clarence Mason of Atmore; her husband, Max H. Griffith Sr. of Henagar and a brother, Aubrey D. Mason of Birmingham, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Griffith May of Wake Forest N.C.; two sons, Max Howard Griffith Jr. of Rockville Md. and Dwight D. Griffith of Pisgah; a sister, Ercel Womack of Huxford; brothers, Autrey Mason of Atmore and Bill Mason of Orange Beach and seven grandchildren, Ward Griffith, Gretchyn Griffith Judeh, Ryan Griffith, Andrew Griffith, Meagan Griffith Hale, Adison May and Peyton May.

Mrs. Griffith was retired from Sand Mountain Electric Co-op. and a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
