ECHS-B.C. Rain moves to Saturday

For a second straight season, the match up between the Escambia County Blue Devils and the B.C. Rain Red Raiders has made a change.

Last season, a change of venue was made after the Red Raiders needed to move the game to Atmore. This season’s game needs only a change of date to get the game played.

According to the schedule that Escambia County head football coach Mark Heaton had the game was to be played next Friday, Sept. 2 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Due to a conflict in the rental of the stadium, the game has been moved to Saturday, Sept. 3.

“We were scheduled to play in Mobile on Friday,” Heaton said. “With the change we will play at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. B.C. Rain does not have a home field, so the only thing we could do was move to the game to Saturday. We saw that Ladd-Peebles was scheduled for another game on Friday, so we called the administrators at B.C. Rain to find out the situation, which has been resolved.”
