Escambia Academy JV running back Tim Finkley broke a scoreless tie in the second quarter when he ran 65 yards for a Cougar touchdown to put the team on top, a lead they never relinquished. The team would go on to win the game by a final score of 24-12.

Quarterback Brett Gorum converted the two-point conversion by dumping a short pass to tight end Garrett Kirk that made it 8-0 Cougars.
