Betty Jean Pelt

Betty Jean Pelt, 82, a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Josephine, Ala.  passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.

She was a member and former organist of Josephine Baptist Church for many years, a member of the Josephine Arts and Craft Club and an active member of the Cosmopolitan Club in Mobile until moving to Josephine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Pelt; four brothers, Robert Duck, John Duck, Fulton Duck and Tommy Duck; a nephew, Jimmy Duck.

She is survived by a sister, Verna D. Turk of Atmore; nieces and nephews, Sara Woods, John Duck, Jr., Barbra Turk, Keith Duck, Pat Duck, Bob Turk, Lil Stroup, Susan Calhoun, Sally Megison, Amy Thomas, Sam Duck, Laura Brown, Greg Duck; two sister-in-laws, Beryle Duck and Jean Duck; close friends, Glen and Cathy Bradley;  twenty-six great nieces and nephews; twenty-three great, great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, Ala, today, Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held from Josephine Baptist Church, Josephine, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Josephine Gardens.
