Lady Cougars beat Central, lose to MA

The Escambia Academy Lady Cougars split two games in a busy week that consists of six games.

Allie Brooks took the circle to start for EA in a 14-11 against Central Christian Thursday. The senior threw four innings before freshman Autumn Corley came on in relief.

Brooks was also the starting pitcher in an 8-3 loss to Monroe Academy.

“In every game we’ve been in it,” said coach David Williams. “We’ve had one bad inning. If you take one inning out of every game we’d be in a lot better shape.”
EA is 5-9 overall this season.

The Lady Cougars played two games Friday in Monroeville, against Monroe and Morgan Academy, but results weren’t available as of press time. EA will play two games in Monroeville tomorrow, against Coosa Valley and Edgewood Academy.

The Lady Cougars finish the busy week with a trip to Northview at 5:30 p.m.
