Annie M. Curry Cure

Mrs. Annie M. Curry Cure, 82, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Atmore (Nokomis community) caught Heaven’s glory train on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Summer Trace Nursing Home in Indianapolis.
She was a native of Escambia County and was reared in Nokomis before relocating. While living in Indianapolis, she became a faithful member of the Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and she worked for Western Electric and the Indianapolis Housing Agency.
Those left to embrace her loving memories are her husband, Roosevelt Cure of Indianapolis; two daughters, Gerri Burrell and Lillian (Joseph) McDuffy, both of Indianapolis; four sisters, Jessie Fisher of Nokomis, Mary (Willie) Wilburne of Chicago Heights, Ill., Edna Kimbrough of Bowlingbrook, Ill. and Dorothy (Angus) Stewart of Bellwood, Ill.; one brother, Isom Curry Jr. of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Nokomis with the Rev. Austin Kidd, eulogist and the Rev. Dennis Stephens, host pastor. Her remains will be retired in the adjoining cemetery.
Public viewing will be Friday from 3 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service, with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
