Lady Cougars split recent games

Escambia Academy’s varsity Lady Cougars split a pair of games late last week.
EA’s varsity defeated Sparta 19-9 on Thursday, April 10. Senior Lacie Flowers led the offense with four hits and one walk.
Freshman Alia Snow finished with three hits, while senior Grayson Emmons and junior Cat Sasser each finished with two hits.
Reagan Bell had a hit and an RBI. Jennifer Weaver picked up the win.
The Lady Cougars fell to Northview on Friday, April 11. Emmons and Sasser each recorded a hit in the loss, and Weaver started the game.
EA’s junior varsity earned a 12-8 win over Sparta. Victoria Sawyer and Lexie Hollinger each had three hits, and Valen Shelly and Camryn O’Barr finished with two hits apiece. Alexis Hollinger was the winning pitcher.
The junior varsity Lady Cougars also earned a 7-6 win over Northview. Alexis Hollinger earned the win, and Sawyer led the offense with a hit and two walks. Carson Barnett had two sacrifice bunts.
Players who recorded a single were Bailey Lancaster, Shelly, Ashlee Bishop, Mary Thompson Lancaster, Kaile Gumapac and Sara Rolin.
