ECHS falls to 0-4 after loss to B.C. Rain

The Escambia County High School Blue Devils had a halftime lead but couldn’t hold on Friday night, as they fell to visiting B.C. Rain by the score of 29-6.

B.C. Rain scored a field goal in the first quarter and led 3-0, but ECHS bounced back with a touchdown in the second quarter. Blue Devils quarterback Marquis Brooks connected with Carlos McNeil for a touchdown pass, giving the Blue Devils a 6-3 lead after two quarters.

However, the Red Raiders outscored ECHS 26-0 in the second half.

The Blue Devils fell to 0-4 for the season, and 0-2 in Class 5A, Region 1. ECHS’s next game is a region contest at Jackson on Friday, Sept. 19.
