Our government needs to follow its own Constitution

The Constitution of the United States was written by our forefathers to protect our great democracy. We are seeing the decline of democracy and the ignoring of the Constitution by all three branches of our government. The Constitution is a written set of fundamental principles by which the United States is governed. Each of the three branches of government are designed to serve as a check and balance on the other two. In my opinion, none of the three are functioning according to the Constitution.
The judiciary branch has the responsibility to interpret the laws of the land and to pass judgment.
The legislative branch has the responsibility of making the laws. The legislative branch consists of 535 representatives (100 senators and 435 house members).
The executive branch has the responsibility and the duty of putting the laws in to effect. The head of the executive branch is the President of the United States of America.
The president of the United States does not have the authority to interpret the law of the land (this power belongs to the judicial department). The president does not have the power to make laws of changes (this power belongs to the legislative department). The president’s power (as stated by the Constitution) is to enforce the laws that have been passed by the legislative branch.
None of the three branches are doing their jobs as described by our forefathers in the constitution. Each branch has the responsibility to call in check any branch that gets out of line. When any branch operates beyond the power given to them by the constitution, then the other two has the responsibility to call that branch of government in check.
Our nation has over 18 million people that need jobs and President Obama has acted outside his authority to add 5.2 million more to that number. What kind of a message does this action send? (Every illegal is welcome here?) The problem that many people don’t understand is that these people are here by illegal means. There is a “right way” and there is a “wrong way” to become an American citizen. These are lawbreakers when they enter illegally. There is no way to know how long each individual has been in the U.S. Illegal immigrants are referred to as undocumented immigrants. Undocumented means that there are no records to tell when they are arrived. Our president is sending a message that the wrong way is better than the right way.
Our nation does not need an emperor, king, or dictator. What America needs is a president that stays within the boundary of his authority and to let each branch carry out the power of their governmental branch. President Obama has enough on his plate rather than trying to run the other branches of government.
If the president’s trend continues, then our democracy will soon become a dictatorship. This letter should be a warning to all three branches of government and our citizens.
