Mad Readers

Third grade students in Linda McCullough’s class recently read “Alice in Wonderland.” When they finished the book, students celebrated by having their own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Students dressed up as their favorite character from the book and McCullough provided the treats. The morning began by using technology skills to aid them on a scavenger hunt, with the goal being to save Alice from the Queen of Hearts by scanning QR Codes. Each group was a different character and had a separate set of QR Codes to follow. They had to read and solve clues, which led them from one clue to the next and eventually finding the “Key” to free or save Alice.
