Students in the elementary grades at Perdido School are getting ready for Thanksgiving. Listening to stories, learning about various traditions surrounding the holiday, multiple arts and crafts and of course a Thanksgiving feast have everyone excited. Students in first grade took home a plain turkey which they transformed into many unusual things such as; a gum-ball machine, elephant, sheep, an Angry Bird or the children camouflaged their turkey so it could escape being a part of Thanksgiving dinner.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students made Native American vests and headbands, Pilgrim hats and aprons, in addition to a variety of artwork. Students have also written their thoughts about what they are thankful for.
