Escambia County had its way with W.S. Neal as the Blue Devils won 79-59 in regular-season action earlier tonight.

The Blue Devils led early in the first period and never gave up the lead for the rest of the game.

WSN brought the game back in the second period on a short run, but ECHS pulled away late in the first half, leading 38-29 at halftime.

After outscoring WSN 23-11 in the third period, the Blue Devils coasted the rest of the way as many of their younger players got the chance to get some playing time.

Triston Knott led ECHS with 15 points (5 3-pointers); Anthony Fountain added 11; Chille Ford score 10; Devon Robinson had nine points; Eric Williams had eight; and Devonte Lee had six.

W.S. Neal’s Tyshawn Davis scored 22 points to lead the Eagles; Troy Lewis had 12; and Dalton Shell drained 11.

ECHS improves to 11-3 on the season, and hosts Vigor on Tuesday in a big Class 5A, Area 2 game.

In girls action, the Lady Blue Devils won 32-31 after a missed shot by WSN at the end.

In junior varsity action, the Eagles won 31-22.
