Rams fall to Santa Rosa Christian

The Atmore Christian Rams surged ahead Santa Rosa Christian early in Monday’s game, but the Milton, Fla., school put together four strong innings en route to a 13-6 victory.
For the Rams, Arri Torres led with two hits. Charlie Gandy and Kevin Depew had one hit each. Chris Gehman had two RBIs.
Gehman pitched three innings, and Torres had two on the mound.
The Rams visit West Florida Baptist Academy tomorrow in a non-league game. First pitch is at 4 p.m.

Kaylyn Swartzendruber went 3-for-4 with two runs to lead the Rams; Courtney Hursh and Valen Shelly went 2-for-5 each (Shelly had an RBI); Lauren Metzler, Kelsey Baker (two RBIs), Miriah Skelton (one RBI) and Chaselyn Phillips had one hit each.
Swartzendruber allowed two runs on four hits and struck out five to earn the win. Metzler struck out five in three innings for the save.
The Lady Rams play next on March 29.
