Seven Atmore Christian School graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas last Friday during commencement exercises at the school.

Salutatorian Ethan Heller said graduation was a moment the seniors have been waiting for for quite a while.

“We’ve been waiting 12 long and laborious years for this,” Heller said. “We’ve been blessed with a great school.”

Heller said ACS has prepared the seven of them to face the work in a Christ-like manner.

Valedictorians Madelyn Boatwright and Nathan Jurjevich reminded their classmates that God allowed them to reach their goal of graduation.

“With God, all things are possible,” Boatwright said.

Jurvevich said as a class, they learned a lot through their years in school.

“If God is with you, then there’s nothing that can be against you,” Jurjevich said.

Commencement Speaker the Rev. Glenn Weber challenged the graduates to celebrate their achievement and to think about what’s next.

“Make an intentional effort to include God in your future plans,” Weber said. “The answer to the ‘what’s next’ question is in your heart.

“I believe God has planted a dream in you and a goal in your heart,” he said. “Dream big. Take those dreams to God and talk with him.”

A class song and video presentation followed Weber’s speech prior to the presentation of diplomas to Heller, Boatwright, Jurjevich, Brandon Beachy, Christopher Gehman, Haleigh German and Canaan Zundel.
