NHS Lady Chiefs hold preseason classic

Six volleyball teams gathered Thursday for a preseason classic tournament at Northview High School.
Other than NHS, Escambia Academy was the only other local school participating.
The Lady Chiefs beat Escambia High School, Fla., 22-25, 26-24, 15-8; and lost 18-25, 4-25 to Central.
EA fell 15-25, 19-25 to Jay, Fla.

EA’s back in action on Aug. 22 at home against Hooper. JV play starts at 4:30 p.m.
Northview visits Pensacola High School on Monday. First serve is at 4:30 p.m. with JV.
