Six volleyball teams gathered Thursday for a preseason classic tournament at Northview High School.

Other than NHS, Escambia Academy was the only other local school participating.

The Lady Chiefs beat Escambia High School, Fla., 22-25, 26-24, 15-8; and lost 18-25, 4-25 to Central.

EA fell 15-25, 19-25 to Jay, Fla.
