Deborah Flowers Digmon

Mrs. Deborah Flowers Digmon, 60, passed away peacefully at her home on Wed., Nov. 9, 2016, in Hampton, Ga.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1955, to the late C.W. “Tobe” and Zelma Flowers.

She was a native of Atmore and had been living in Georgia for the past 20 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Glenn Digmon; three brothers, Edward Flowers, James Flowers and Curtis Flowers; and three sisters, Claudette Burkette, Brenda Flowers and Annette Strength.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheena Baker of Hampton; one brother, Danny Flowers of Molino, Fla.; and grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Baker.
A memorial service was heldĀ Nov. 15, 2016, from Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Turberville officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.

Esther Marie Moore

Funeral services for Ms. Esther Marie Moore, 55, of Brewton, will be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel LLC.
Moore died Wed., Nov. 9, 2016, at D. W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton.
Joe Nathan Thomas

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Nathan Thomas Jr., 44, of Brewton, will be announced by Tuner Funeral Chapel LLC.

Thomas died Thurs., Nov. 10, in Mobile Co.

 

Scherrill Brenda Pettway

Mrs. Scherrill Brenda Pettway, 63, of Atmore, entered peaceful rest in the arms of Jesus on Fri., Nov. 11, 2016, in West Florida Hospital’s Convalent Hospice Pavilion in Pensacola.
A native of Atmore, she was born to Mrs. Cherrie Bell and the late, Mr. Jimmison Montgomery. She was a graduate of Escambia County Training School in 1971. She was a member of Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center and a past member of Old Ship Baptist Church, where she had been a member of the choir. She enjoyed walking and had a love for flowers.
She is preceded in death by her father and two brothers.
Her love will live on forever in her husband, James Lee Pettway of Atmore; four daughters, Tammie (Damien) Pettway-Robinson, Kenya Pettway, LaQuanda (Dane, Jr.) Robinson and Cheryl Pettway, all of Atmore; one son, Michael Pettway of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Gloria Jean Montgomery, Dorothy Robinson of Atmore, Denise (Charles) Jackson of Madison and Teresa (Dan) Tolliver of Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Winston, Charles and Derrick (Sandra) Montgomery, all of Atmore; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Sat., Nov. 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. from Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Overseer Darryl North, as pastor, will be officiating. Inhumation will be in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC directing.
