Local athletes to sign on dotted line Wednesday

Four local student athletes are making their decisions known today during National Signing Day festivities at their respective schools.

Escambia Academy’s Trae Lee and Kris Brown; and Northview’s Luke Ward will pick where they will play football at the next level.

Additionally, EA’s Drew Parker is going to be signing a baseball scholarship with the Coastal Alabama Community College Warhawks in Brewton.

Over the weekend, Lee announced his commitment to the U.S. Naval Academy on his official visit to the school.

“Such a blessing to announce that I have committed to The United States Naval Academy,” Lee said on Facebook, along with three hashtags supporting his new team.

Brown will decide between the University of South Alabama, Mississippi College, Florida A&M and others.
