Escambia Academy’s Drew Parker struck out 13 batters and Fred Flavors scored twice to help lead the Cougars to a 5-0 victory over Central Christian on Tuesday.

Parker also went 2-for-4 with a double at the plate.

Flavors went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Jason Davis went 2-for-4 with a run.

Chase Bell went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs, and Kainoa Gumapac went 1-for-4 with two walks.

EA (10-12) will be in action on Monday at Jay, Fla. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.

In softball action, the Lady Cougars beat Central Christian 18-7 in the first game. Lexie Hollinger hit a two-run homerun.

The second game ended in a 10-10 tie as the game was called because of darkness.

EA’s girls are in action again tomorrow against Northview at home.
