Escambia County dropped to No. 5 in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association boys basketball poll.

Ths Blue Devils beat Hillcrest-Evergreen 51-49 on Tuesday night, but suffered their first loss of the season Friday at the county tournament. ECHS fell 63-53 to Flomaton, who it plays tmorrow night at FHS.

ECHS is 10-1 on the season.
