She lived in Huxford then Atmore until 2002, when she moved to Mobile and entered an assisted living facility. She was an excellent cook and talented seamstress who could make and remake anything. She loved God, her church, playing her organ and watching and singing along to Gaither videos in her later years.

She enjoyed keeping a clean house and tending flowers in her yard. An adult Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, she continued teaching a Bible class until 2009, when she feared she would give incorrect information to her fellow residents and reluctantly gave up her class.

She loved her family and had a heart for any child anywhere in the world who was abused or hungry and gave what she could to help those children.

We will miss Mother-Grandmother-Granny, but know that she is in heaven rejoicing and spending time with her loved ones who have gone on ahead.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the CNAs, nurses and other workers at Gulf Coast Health and Rehab for their loving care. We especially are grateful to her sweet roommate, Ann Heim, who loved and helped Mother every day for over two years. God sent this angel especially for Mother.
