The Escambia County Healthcare Authority reported 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at its two hospitals Tuesday morning in its biweekly update.

At Atmore Community Hospital, 11 confirmed cases were reported with 222 specimens collected, 167 negative results, 23 pending and one inconclusive.

There were two confirmed cases at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital with 121 total specimens collected, 114 negative results, five pending and zero inconclusive results.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there are 16 confirmed cases in Escambia County, Ala. with 246 specimens collected and zero confirmed patient deaths.

The numbers are updated biweekly by the ECHA to reflect current case numbers. Due to timing of the information, the numbers may differ from those of ADPH’s website.

Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
