Mrs. Sherry Ann Phillips, 54, passed away on Tues., Jan. 5, 2021 at her home in Stockton.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Pensacola, Fla., a former resident of Atmore (where she spent most of her life) and had resided in Stockton for the past 11 years. She was a member of the Poarch Creek Indians. She loved her children, grandchildren and dancing. She was a pipe fitter/boiler maker by trade. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Gregson and Daisy Bell Rolin; daughter, Ashlynn Gregson; and brother, Eddie Wayne Gregson.
She is survived by her fiancé, Randall F. Melvin of Stockton; four sons, Jerry (fiancé Tamaniek McGhee) Sanchez of Atmore, Anthony (Jessica) Phillips of Atmore, Chris (Jessica) Phillips of Atmore and Cody (Amy) Phillips of Atmore; one daughter, Stephanie (Winston) Barron of Atmore; one step-daughter, Tasha (Robin) Jackson of Bay Minette; two brothers, Charles (Cheryl) Gregson of Atmore and Timothy (Megan) Gregson of Semmes; three sisters, Robin (Larry) Barlow of Atmore, Donna Nobles of Atmore and Melaine Gregson of Atmore; 22 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Thurs., Jan. 7, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Restoration PCC Church with Bro. Jerry Sanchez and Bro. Trevor Daughtry officiating.
Burial will follow at the New Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today, Wed., Jan. 6, 2021 from 6 p.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at the Restoration PCC Church.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Cody Phillips, Bryan Gregson, Aaron Gregson and Dakota Barlow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Gregson, Hunter Nobles, Steven Gregson, Corey Gregson, Thomas Owens and Zack Gregson.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC in Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
