COVID-19: 1 additional case reported since March 26

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,584 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
This is an increase of one case since the March 26 report.
According to a release, 955 (even) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 629 (plus one) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,491 specimens have been collected, 3,487 have been negative with one pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 3,930 specimens have been collected with 3,268 negative results, zero pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,861 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 730 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-four people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
