Girls travel to Williamson

Escambia County’s boys and girls area tournaments are set.

The girls’ Class 4A, Area 1 bracket tips off on Mon., Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at Williamson. St. Michael faces W.S. Neal in the first round. The winner of St. Michael-W.S. Neal advances to face WHS on Feb. 9 in the semifinals.

The Lady Blue Devils begin area tournament play against Vigor on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals.

The area championship will be held on Fri., Feb. 11, at 6 p.m.

On the boys side, Vigor faces W.S. Neal on Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. in the first-round game at ECHS. The Blue Devils face the winner of Vigor-WSN at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 10 in the area semifinals.

Williamson and St. Michael play at 5:30 p.m. in the semifinals on Feb. 10.

The boys championship is slated for 6 p.m. on Feb. 12.

In Class 3A, T.R. Miller’s girls earned a bye in the first round and advances to face the winner of Flomaton-Hillcrest-Evergreen on Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.

In the boys bracket, TRM faces Flomaton in the semifinals. The winner advacnes to play Hillcrest on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m.

The winner and runner up from the area advance to the sub regional, which will be held Feb. 14 for the girls and Feb. 15 for the boys.
