Rep. Jerry Carl and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall spoke Monday night at the Escambia County Republican Party Meeting at Atmore City Hall.
Both were in attendance as guest speakers at the meeting, which included state and local dignitaries.
Carl talked about the upcoming midterm elections, fighting against inflation, fixing the supply chain issues and securing the boarder.
“We have to finish the wall, and fix the broken immigration system,” he said.
Carl said the public school system needs to be fixed, and encouraged communities to offer their support.
“We’ve got to have an important conversation about our students,” he said.
Carl also spoke about law enforcement and election laws.
“We’ve got to get folks out to vote,” he said. “We’ve got to make noise.”
Marshall, an Atmore native, spoke about his specific office duties.
“Uniquely, the attorney general has the opportunity to push back against (Washington) D.C. and what is going on there,” he said.
