Mrs. Helen Luverne Hughes, 76, passed away, on Fri., Aug. 19, 2022 in Atmore surrounded by her family at her bedside.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John O’Bannon McCall and Cynthia Murl Comalander McCall; husband, Joseph Hughes; one daughter, Angela Gordon; one grandson, Allen Gordon; and one brother, Bobby McCall.
She is survived by her one son, James Jimmy (Paige) Henderson, of Savannah, Ga.; one daughter, LeAnne (Karla) Grissom, of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, John (Maxine) McCall, of Bratt, Fla.; four sisters, Pauline (Horace) Pickern, of Bratt, Annie Ruth Bryan, of Atmore, Nancy Smith, of Atmore and Debbie Cribbs, of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
