4 county high school teams begin postseason play Oct. 12

The postseason for volleyball will begin next week.

Four Escambia County, Ala. high schools are set to begin Alabama High School Athletic Association area tournament play on Oct. 12.

Here is the area tournament schedule by classification:

• Class 3A – at St. Luke’s Episcopal School in Mobile

All matches will be played Oct. 12.

Game 1 – W.S. Neal vs. Flomaton, 1 p.m.

Game 2 – St. Luke’s vs. Game 1, 2:30 p.m.

Game 3 – Mobile Christian vs. Cottage Hill, 4 p.m.

Game 4 – Championship, 5:30 p.m.

• Class 4A – at T.R. Miller in Brewton

All matches will be played Oct. 15.

Game 1 – Escambia County vs. Jackson, 8 a.m.

Game 2 – T.R. Miller vs. winner of Game 1 in championship

 

Area winners and runners up advance to the super regional Oct. 19-21.
