Gulf Winds to hold first time homebuyers workshop

The Gulf Winds Cares Foundation is partnering with the University of West Florida’s Louis Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy to educate students and community members on first time homebuying.

The workshop will be led by Katrinka Phillips, mortgage loan originator at Gulf Winds Credit Union. The workshop will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, in Conference Room A at the UWF Conference Center. Attendees will learn about the homebuying process and be empowered with information that provides a pathway to homeownership.

Anyone interested in attending the workshop should register at https://uwf.edu/centers/louis-maygarden-center-for-financial-literacy/. Lunch will also be provided.

The Louis Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy focuses on improving the financial health and well-being of all persons residing in the University of West Florida service area. The Center also offers credit counseling services to individuals contemplating life-changing financial matters. The Gulf Winds Cares Foundation makes an annual donation to the Center and hosts quarterly workshops to educate the community on financial literacy and topics relevant to their financial journeys.
