Escambia Academy defeated Snook Academy Sept. 14 3-1 (25-20, 25-12, 13-25, 25-17) in varsity volleyball action.

The Lady Cougars and Lady Eagles went back and forth in the first set, but EA pulled away late.

EA led 8-3 early in the second set.

“I am proud of how they pushed through some adversities and came back strong after their region loss last week (against Meadowview),” EA volleyball coach Mandi Carter said.

EA will be back in action tomorrow at the Lowndes Varsity Tournament, then will host Pensacola Home School on Sept. 19.
