Lady Chiefs fall in district semifinals to Jay 3-2

Northview fell 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 19-25, 6-15) to Jay, Fla. Tuesday night in the FHSAA Class 1A, District 1 semifinals John Clarence Gymnasium.
The Lady Chiefs went back and forth during the first game; took an early lead into the second set, but JHS went on a 8-0 run to tie it at 17-all; held an early lead in the third game; lost a lead in the fourth; and JHS ran away with it in the final set.
With the loss, NHS finishes 11-6 on the season.
Northview’s KayLeigh Jay and Jaci Jackson led with nine kills each. Jay and Kamryn Langham had five blocks each.
Maggie Stewart led the Lady Chiefs with 12 digs.
