Larry Wayne Ward, 78, of Atmore, passed away on Jan. 4, 2024 in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born on November 12, 1945 in Goodway to Jesse and Lillie Childress Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Raymond Ward, Inez Wiggins, Howard Ward and Lavaughn Ward; and his step-son, John-Graham Quinley.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Wood Ward of Huxford; his son, Brad Ward of Huxford; his daughter, Beth (Michael) Donaldson of Daphne; his step-children, Katherine (Sean) Corbin of South Carolina and William Graham (Alyssa) Quinley of Fairhope; his brother, J.E. Ward of Goodway; his sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Coker of Mobile; his grandson, Christian Donaldson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 7, 2024 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with the Rev. Wayne McMillan officiating. Interment followed in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Goodway.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
