EA track, field athletes set personal records at Oneonta meet

Several Escambia Academy track and field athletes set new personal records during a meet in Oneonta on March 2.

Overall, the boys placed fourth and the girls finished seventh.

EA athletes who competed at the meet include by gender and event:

  • Girls 100-meter dash – Kimorah Goldsmith, 10th place, 14.37 seconds
  • Boys 100-meter dash – Shawton Riley, third place, 11.67 seconds; and Yadarius McNeal, eighth place, 12.18 seconds
  • Boys 110-meter hurdles – McNeal, fifth place, 21.34 seconds
  • Boys 200-meter run – Riley, first place, 23.68 seconds; Kaidyn Windham, 23rd place, 27.57 seconds; and Timmy Doerr, 24th place, 27.77 seconds
  • Girls 200-meter run – Goldsmith, fifth place, 30.09 seconds
  • Boys 300-meter hurdles – McNeal, fourth place, 52.64 seconds
  • Boys 400-meter run – Riley, first place, 53.86 seconds; T. Doerr, 15th, 1 minute, 3.19 seconds; and Windham, 16th, 1:03.23
  • Boys 800-meter run – Danny Doerr, fourth place, 2:26.13; Cameron Perkins, 10th place, 2:49.85; and Kason Bryant, 21st, 3:12.55
  • Boys 1600-meter run – D. Doerr, second place, 5:10.77; Eli Covington, third place, 5:18.26; Bryant, seventh place, 6:17.11; and John Bailey Hayes, 7:05.52
  • Boys 3200-meter run – D. Doerr, third place, 11:16.49; Covington, fourth place, 11:34.60; Bryant, fifth place, 13:54.67; and Bailey, ninth place, 15:37.94
  • Boys discus throw – Jackson Parker, 38th, 46-06 (14.17 meters)
  • Girls discus throw – Cleria McCants, 11th, 48-07 (14.81 meters)
  • Girls shot put – McCants, 17th, 17-05.55 (5.31 meters)
  • Boys shot put – Brayden McBride, 20th, 29-00.00 (8.84 meters)
  • Boys triple jump – Cameron Perkins, fifth place, 31-08.00 (9.65 meters)
