Mr. Henry James Lawson, 87, passed away on Thurs., March 7, 2024, in Spanish Fort surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his son, Henry James “Jim” Lawson Jr.; parents, Henry Jefferson Lawson and Bernice Cahoon Stewart; and two sisters, Darla Miles and Burneda Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Joyce Lawson, of Spanish Fort; daughter, Wendy (Jay) Spence, of Spanish fort; two sisters, Jefferene Foster and Joy Rich; two grandchildren, Emily Lawson Daly and Kayla Carn; two great-grandchildren, Karlie and Jamesson Carn; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thurs., March 14, 2024, at noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Daphne, with Bishop Bret Berthelson officiating.
Burial will follow at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m. with military honors.
Visitation will be held on March 14, 2024, from 11 a.m. until service time at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Daphne.
