A call to the Atmore Police Department led to a drug-related arrest Wednesday in Nokomis.

Scott Walden, an agent with the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force, said he received information that a meth lab was in progress in the area. Walden, along with Atmore police officers Isaac Lopez and Johnathan Kelley, investigated the call. Walden said, while on location, the suspect admitted he possessed a working meth lab and was in the process of crushing pills needed to begin the process of a cook.

The suspect was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of precursor chemicals. Walden said he is currently withholding the name of the subject due to related investigations.
