MOBILE – Franklin “Frank” Seymour Smith, age 65, born in Mobile and a resident of Atmore, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Providence Hospital. He was co-owner of Smith Sporting Goods in Bay Minette. He was a veteran of the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Harville Smith of Atmore; his children, Cheryl Ann Smith of Daphne, Thomas J. McConnell of Rabun, Brian Earl (Katie) Smith of Atmore and Christopher Ashley (Helena) Smith of Mobile; one brother, Jerry Earl Smith of Perdido Beach; nine grandchildren, Codi (Jordan) Nettles, Casey Paslay, Matthew McConnell, Kahlie McConnell, Morgan McConnell, Garrett Smith, Timothy Smith, Riley Smith and Violet Smith; two great grandchildren, Layla McConnell and Daniel Knoxx Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 22, 2013, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
