Maher picks up another victory at Flomaton

Fans were treated to more exciting racing Saturday night as Flomaton Speedway opened up the month of May with a packed house and great action.

Kevin Maher was the big winner on the night as he took home the checkered flag with a first place finish in the NeSmith Late Models series feature.

Taylor Jarvis, of Milton, Fla, took home second place with Josh Huss hot on his heels in third place.

Monte Skinner finished in fourth with Chris Griffin rounding out the Top 5 and Bernard Blackwell in sixth.

In the Street Stock class, Evan Folmar won the feature race with Adam Ellison coming in the runner-up position.

Damon Frady finished in third place, while Wayne Hawthorne took home fourth. Jamie Young rounded out the Top 5.

Adam Purvis finished atop the order in sixth through 10th as he beat out Gary Dunsford (7th), Clint Holmes (8th), Ronnie Vick (9th) and Brewton’s own Tim Reeves who finished 10th.

Gary Watson was the winner of the Stinger feature Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway. Jimmy Boyington grabbed a second place finish, while Casey Spears came away in third.

Carol Shell from Pensacola finished in the fourth position and Flomaton’s Al Woods left the track with a fifth place finish.

Coming in at six through 10 were Eddie Hall, Richard Johnson Sr., Peter Turner, Geoffrey Adkins and Richard Johnson.

In the Bomber feature, Steven Fretwell took home a big first-place run with Levi Wells coming in second. Ronald Ross, of Atmore, came away in third place, while Hunter Baker was in fourth and Monte Young finishing the Top 5.

Chris Burger took home sixth, Angela Hayes came in seventh and Jerry Simmons finished in eighth.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Kenneth Pugh and Bradley Haveard.
