Phariba Myra Norris Sampson Rogers, 88, of Atmore, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in Atmore.
She was a homemaker, born in Lyman, Miss., on Dec. 19, 1925, to the late Kelon A. and Buna E. Hardee Norris.
Survivors are five brothers, A.J. Norris of San Antonio, Texas, Howard B. Norris of Phoenixville, Pa., W.H. “Bill” Norris of Ontario, Canada, Edgar D. Norris of Atmore and David L. Norris of Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters, Edna Emmons of Century, Fla. and Martha Miller of Mobile; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Edgar D. Norris officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry Norris, Steve McGill, Carl Emmons, Roger Emmons, Chris Miller and Webb Nall.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time Saturday, Feb. 15, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
