The Escambia Academy Cougars continued their undefeated season Friday, defeating Pike Liberal Arts 48-14 on homecoming.

The Patriots took an early 6-0 lead but EA used a pounding running game to pull away.

“We showed some resiliency after an early fumble that put us behind,” EA coach Hugh Fountain.

EA improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in AISA Class 3A, Region 1.

The Cougars’ next game is Friday, Oct. 24, at Glenwood Schools.
