The Escambia County High School Blue Devils basketball team had a rough patch recently, losing four games in a row.

ECHS (10-9) lost at Hillcrest-Evergreen on Friday night, by the score of 65-54. The Blue Devils also lost games at Pensacola on Jan. 2 (by the score of 66-49), at Clarke County on Dec. 26 (by the score of 59-55) and at Blount High School on Dec. 23 (by the score of 66-45).

Prior to the four-game losing streak, the Blue Devils had won seven in a row —with three of those victories coming in the Escambia County Basketball Tournament.

The Blue Devils will host Jackson on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ECHS will also host Vigor on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m.

Lady Devils top Hillcrest

The ECHS Lady Devils earned a 44-33 win at Hillcrest-Evergreen on Friday night, improving their record to 9-4 for the season.

The Lady Devils will host Jackson at 6 p.m. Friday night, and host Vigor on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m.
